pouco mais da realidade norte americana. A
maioria das expressões abaixo são usadas nos
Estados Unidos, podendo ocorrer algumas mudanças
de significados conforme a região. Advertimos
a todos um cuidado especial ao usar estas
expressões abaixo, que constituem uma
linguagem muito informal, mas não podemos também
ignorá-las, pois a simples compreensão de um
seriado de televisão, filme ou texto de alguma
revista, depende do conhecimento desta palavras

vocabulário de uma criança pronta para aprender
a ler e escrever. |

• 700 palavras: É o
vocabulário máximo de um adulto analfabeto na
sua língua materna. |
|
• 1000 palavras: É
o vocabulário ativo de um aluno de Inglês depois
de 120 horas/aula. É o |
|
vocabulário mínimo para se viajar. |
|
• 2000 palavras: É
o vocabulário ativo de um adolescente em seu
idioma materno ao completar o 2º |
|
grau. Também é o vocabulário ativo de um aluno
de Inglês ao fim do 2º ano letivo(240
horas/aula). |
|
• 3000 palavras: É
o vocabulário de uma pessoa culta, que pratica o
hábito da leitura. Também |
|
deverá ser o vocabulário de um aluno de Inglês
no fim do terceiro ano letivo(360 horas/aula), o |
|
que propicia a fluência neste idioma.

• Assistir filmes
com legendas em Inglês é uma ótima maneira de
